We went for our routine ob checkup one week ago. Everything is going well :) Report from the amniocentesis also confirmed all is normal, no chromosomal defects and it's definitely 100%: A GIRL! :) And she was weighing in at 534g! Exactly on the right track (those weekly updates are just so spot-on!).

Now that we're into our 6th month (24weeks).. ob checkups are abit more frequent at 4 weeks interval. Used to be 6 weeks. Guess this is where things get busy in there and we need close monitoring.. haha.

Back to the scan pic.. can you see her profile? Just her head profile - head, nose and mouth. I think she looks like daddy! :P She's my little sweet darling... :) I can't wait to see her!

In another 5 weeks, we will be going for the 3D/4D scan where we can see her features! It's so cool! But havent decide where we're going to get it done. KKH offers it but they only started in Oct 2008 so i'm not too sure how experienced the techs are. I heard other hospitals does it too so we might go check them up.

so how mummy is doing at this stage?

I'm getting big! and hips are expanding.. hehe. Soon i'll really be unable to get my jeans up anymore. And also.. i'm bracing myself to get all puffy and bloated all around :S I don't reckon i'll be the fortunate few who will escape it totally. To be able to last til 6th month, i should be thankful!

Back has also started aching. Cant walk for long before i need to sit down. Zack had to give me backrubs before turning in. I'm quite surprised by the backaches cos my tummy dont seem too big.. can't be that straining right? But Zack said the extra weight is taking its toll so perhaps that's why.

Mummy caught a cold too :( Had sorethroat for a couple of days but my nose started runny yesterday. Today proved to be a stuffy day. Not taking any meds just plenty of good ole H2O. And come this weekend, i'll be sleeping in! Zack can go fishing but i will need my bed ;) Zack tried to get me to stay home to rest today but i gotta come to work. 2 colleagues are on leave, so its left to me to hold the fort. Anyway it's just one more day.. i shall survive!
