......Daddy and Mummy are having fun with Megan's goodies!

So little darling's babycot and stroller arrived this afternoon..
her nursery is mostly complete!
i need to wash her clothes and bedding set..
pick up a few more items then we are pretty much set for her arrival :)

she's gonna be 36weeks this thursday and the time is drawing near *gulps*
mixed feelings... excited yet so terrified!
so far i've been having braxton hicks - which is common for me
and some menstrual-like cramps - which had eased off abit already.
of crse not to mention the usual back/pelvic aches when i get too ambitious in my cleaning and walking.

i'm certainly in nesting mode already!
been frantically trying to get the house as clean and tidy as possible.
i want Megan to come home to a nice clean house - not that she cares.. hahaha!
but i do!
her home-coming is a special event and i wanna make it as perfect as can be :)

pics up soon on some of her goodies!
stay tune~

our little darling is 2.4kg!

We had an ob appointment yesterday.
Not gonna be putting up the u/s sound pic cos its another head profile.

Here are the stats:
Date: 25 June
Gestational Age: 35 weeks
Weight: 2.4kg

Growing well and healthy :) Asked John Tee if she will be out early and he said no. Even if she is out now at 35 weeks, its okay. But she might be out 37 - 38 weeks. So we have to be ready! Just what Zack wanna hear. He wants her out on 7 July! That's too soon!! I want her in there at least 38 weeks. That daddy ah... kept telling her to come out on 7 July.. i had to tell her not to listen to daddy and cover my belly so she cant hear him.

Omg.. that's 2-3 weeks time!!

We have to make a trip soon to KKH to book our hospitalization package. And also to book John Tee for delivery.

cant wait to see her!
wonder who she'll look like *grins*

MY MATERNITY LEAVE HAS STARTED!!!!!!

Now i can fully concentrate on the arrival of our little girl :)
No more work stress!
plenty to do.. preparing her nursery, getting the little stuff together.
and i've got time to rest, monitor her movement which is extremely crucial at this time. She seems to be sleeping more at night now. I hardly feel her during the night, so hopefully her sleeping habits dont change when she is out! But i've been waking up more often for toilet trips :( So i'm really glad i started my ML cos i sure havent been sleeping well at night. Oh and not to mention all the aches and pain from turning and moving in bed. Oh Yes... welcome to the 3rd trimester :)

I'm 34 weeks 3 days today!
nearing term... hang in there sweetheart and grow well while mummy and daddy prepares your nursery *muaks* :)

Just last night, Zack was asking me to prepare the hospital bag.. hahaha!
he is getting so excited.. yeah easy for him.. he dont have to go through LABOUR!!!
i'm really starting to get terrified and begin having bad dreams :S

our little Megan is growing!

Date: 4 June 2009
Gestational Age: 32 weeks
Weight: 1.9kg!

Our little Megan is now weighing in at 1.9kg! John Tee said she is growing very well :) Still in the bottoms-up position, all ready for her grand entrance. Everything looks great.. heartbeat strong and steady. Zack said she is in the posterior position so let's hope she stays this way til birth :)

Something good came out of our visit.. i got 1 week mc! Well not exactly good cos i'm in pain :( It's this condition called Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction. Basically it's the loosening and misalignment of the pelvic joints. That little heavy girl aggravates it too. I suffered for 2 weeks, in complete agony, visited 2 GPs before our appt with John Tee. I was afraid he will downplay it cos the other GPs didnt know what it was - one said it might be infection, one asked me to go to KKH A&E *roll eyes* I did some research and know what i got - see, cannot trust docs sometimes. But John Tee knew what it was and immediately said i needed to rest and gave me a week off! I didnt even asked for it! And he gave me hospitalization leave so i wouldnt need to utilize my medical leave. Awesome! He kept emphasizing it was hospitalization leave.. haha.

I'm really thankful we got a good ob :) The GP i went to heard that he's my ob and went, "Oh it's John Tee.. dont worry, he'll take very good care of you." Even a colleague of mine was like, "How did you managed to get John Tee?!!" I was like, "Eh, i just make an appointment and he was the available ob?" hahahha.. We didnt even know. Guess we are blessed then :) Let's pray he'll come through for the delivery as well :)

3 weeks to our next appointement, thereafter will be 2 weeks interval. Soon we will need to book our hospitalization package. The DAY is nearing!!!!!

*excited and terrified!*

Our next appointment: 25 June 2009

32 weeks!

How's Megan doing: Your baby now weighs approximately 3.75 pounds/ 1.7 kilograms and is about 17 inches/ 42 centimeters long from head to toe. Although his lungs won't be fully developed until just before birth, your little one is inhaling amniotic fluid to exercise his lungs and practice breathing.

Some babies have a head of hair already, others have only a few wisps. Thick hair at birth doesn't necessarily mean thick hair later on but children with fine hair in childhood usually have thinner hair in adulthood.

If your baby is a boy, his testicles should be descending from his abdomen into his scrotum. Sometimes however, one or both testicles won't move into position until after birth. In two-thirds of all baby boys who have undescended testicles at birth, the condition corrects itself by the boy's first birthday

How's mummy doing: You're probably gaining around 450g /1 lb a week now, and roughly half of that goes straight to your baby. In fact, he gains a third to half of his birth weight during the next seven weeks, fattening up for survival outside the womb. Thanks to these fatty deposits, his skin is getting plumper and healthier looking. Follow our tips for eating well over the next few weeks.

It's hard enough to get to sleep when you're pregnant without worrying about whether you're disturbing your partner too. Follow our tips for a safe night's snooze. If you're concerned that sex in the final months will harm your baby, stop worrying. For most women, sex during pregnancy is fine right up until their waters break and may even help jump-start labour, if the baby's overdue. So go for it!
