Sorry I have to gush...

....MY BABY IS THE MOST ADORABLE!!!

I spent a good part of last night and this morning hunting down Megan's pots and pans. Her kitchen utensils from her kitchen playset. ALL were gone! That can't be right. There should be a pot or ladle lying somewhere.. but ALL went missing? She would head straight to her kitchen the minute she is out of her cot in the morning so I'd usually tidy up her kitchen for her at night.

Up and down, every corner. Guess where I found them? In Pappe's outing bag! (which is hooked over the back of her stroller) All of them - save for a pot which I found in her very own bag. AHHAHAHAHAH! She has been secretly stashing her favourite toys!!!

Isn't my darling girl the cutest thing?? :)

She will stack her cups and place and place them in her oven too ;)

So we have 3 nights of uninterrupted sleep! Yayyyyy!
Megan is back in form.
Somehow she is most obedient when it's just mummy & her.
Sticks to her routine extremely well.
True enough, the week Daddy flies off to HKG.
Megan is back on schedule :)

Daddy misses Megan so much!

The 1st thing he bought in Hong Kong was a purple cheongsam for Megan!

(He is trying to find matching cheongsam for mummy too!)

He proudly showed it to me over MSN videochat last night :)

And today bought 2 pairs of crocs for his little darling.

Megan is so loved... by everyone.
When she reads this blog when she is older, she will know..
just how blessed she is.

Poor gal's gums are swollen...
perhaps thats why she fusses at night.. cos it hurts.
so wants some cuddle and comfort from mummy.
but I can feel abit of her teeth on the bottom right..
praying the worst is over already.

But YES..... Mummy is back to sleeping soundly at night! ;)

Megan listens to mummy! :)

Put her back in her cot and she started to fuss. Managed to settle her down and she sat quietly in her cot. Then she stood up and tried reaching out to the switch. (One Of her favourite past time is switching on and off the light.) I stopped her with a, "No." She stopped, walked 2 steps back and sat back down. "Megan, Go and sleep." And she stretched out on the bed and laid down :) Such a good girl! Now.. Just sleep through the night and mummy will buy you a present! (It's 5am now :S)

Just gave megan a good scolding...

For messing up the laundry cycle! She looked at me with such sad doleful eyes... Then gingerly touched my arm, a few times. Had to look away to keep my stern look before i burst out into a smile. Im such a pushover! She is just so cute! But no.. Discipline gotta be in place!

Megan learns cooking!

I taught Megan how to cook... but NOT with Pappe's leftover chicken please sweetheart!

Subsequently, she threw another toy and Pappe's dingo bone in!
Pap's dingo bone became food for the fishes.. tsk tsk.
Time to cover up the fish tank!!!
So far I've managed to rescue a phone, xbox controller, coca cola bottle hat, Megan's pj... seconds before they touched the water.

What's new with Megan?

Her molars are out!
2 on the upper gums, 1 on each side.
Total number of teeth: 10
That explains her fussing and drooling..

As i'm typing this, Megan is walking about the house.. babbling to herself.. hahaha. She is just so cute. I was just asking Zack, "Do you think Megan is cuter than most babies?" I really think she is! Maybe I'm biased.. haha. But she is just soooo adorable. I feel happy just by looking at her. She smiles the minute she wakes up! :)

MEMORABLE MOMENTS
1) Laundry
I was bringing in the laundry one day and Megan was in the kitchen with me, watching me (she's very kaypoh now.. heh). I said to her, "Megan, can you help mummy bring the clothes to the sofa?" To my amazement, she puts down the toy she was holding in her hand and stretched out her arms!! I placed some clothes in her outstretched arms and she tottered out of the kitchen. She got distracted by my wallet (she loves my wallet) in the bag on the floor so those tees never got to the sofa.. hahaha! I found them just outside the kitchen with that little gal squatting on the floor, ransacking my wallet!

2) In the car, conversation with Ah Yi
Ah Yi: Megan, do you want water (it was water if i'm not wrong)?
Megan: Noo
Ah Yi: Megan, are you cold
Megan: Yessh
Ah Yi: Megan, are you hot?
Megan: No

Probably a fluke but it was like an actual conversation! *LOL* We were so amazed!

Aint she the sweetest thing??

It's been a whirlpool since we all came back from Europe a week ago.
(Megan is still a little jetlagged!)
In fact, I only just uploaded the pics from Alfie (DSLR) 2 days back and still in the process of uploading the ones taken from the hps.
Here's one for starters :)


I will be moving this blog soon as i'm left with 2MB for pictures! What's a blog without pics right? So in the meantime, whilst I find time to set up another blog, there wouldn't be an inflood of photo posts. Videos are fine though so no rationing in that area ;)

In Barcelona: First sip of sparkling water

Sparkling water is water with bubbles (gas). Like coke without taste. Watch how her face screws up with her 1st taste of it. Clearly Megan doesn't like it.. haha!!

What's up during the past week?

A couple of incidents that took place this week. A must to blog it down! But mummy is dozing off at the laptop right now (it's 1:45am) so it will be next post. So stay tune~

Almost 1am...

"Megan Please go to sleeeep! Mummy gotta work tomorrow." Dozing off but not fully aslp yet. Jetlagged is one thing. But wanting me to be next to her / falling aslp on me is another thing!! Since we got back, megan has been so clingy to me during bedtime - right down to holding her as she drinks her milk! Daddy doesnt do the trick. Its only at night. She is fine during the day. Strange yeah? I gotta go read up on this behavior.

Look at this monkey!!

Megan learnt something new yesterday! While Mummy went out for some work errands, Daddy watched her. He was using the com in the room while Megan plays with her toys. To his astonishment, at the corner of his eye, he saw some movement. Turned and saw this little monkey climbed up the couch!!! *shake head*

Look how agile she is!

She's been climbing up the couch the minute she is out from her cot. As I'm typing this, she is trying to take my mouse!

Now... the minute Megan sees her milk, she claspes her hands together in prayer automatically! *LOL* My baby... :)

"Let's pray!"

Whenever we say, "Let's pray!", Megan clasps her hands together in prayer *beams* I hope God is pleased :)

"I want to wear that band on my head the way Mummy does..."

Megan did the most adorable thing (she really surprises me these days). She took the hairband off my head and put it on hers! She did it the right way up! I couldnt take a shot in time but right or wrong side up, my baby still cracks me up :)

No need for a shopping basket in the supermarket. Your 14-month old toddler does the job ;)

Megan's new ride!

Someone has a new travel stroller! :)

With many flights to be on for the upcoming trip, the Quinny Buzz is unlikely to survive the rough handling of the baggage&handling crew. Our heart will bleed if anything happens to it! We need a light travel stroller that is easily collaspsible and light enough to be carried (note: carried by Daddy). After doing some research, (yes I research travel strollers too.. haha). One fits the bill snugly: MacClaren Volo!

Headed off to Kaki Bukit - best place for good deals. And bought Megan this chic black/white limited edition Volo @ 40% off! Comes with rain cover and a warm seat liner. Not as comfy as the Buzz no doubt but sorry my love, you gotta make do ok?

1 Oct: Megan celebrates Childrens' Day

Daddy and Mummy brought Megan out to play! The last time we went to Vivo's playcourt was with Rachel Ah Yi. Daddy only could hear wistfully as I related to him what a great time Megan had there. So this time, we went prepared (and packed Daddy along too ;))! Towel and an extra change for play. Mummy had a meeting to go to first so Daddy and Megan met her at Vivo.

Mummy & Daddy had to say many 'sorrys' to other parents! Cos this little imp enjoys disturbing other kids (note: BIGGER than her!). Pull their clothes, touch their hair/face, smack their head (lightly though)! Gosh... Megan is a real big bully! When we scold her for doing that, she giggles and walk away -_- What to do with this monkey???

6pm

Towel her up and changed her. She was tired after her waterplay. Off we went to Bugis for Godpa Mark's 30th bday dinner @ Ma Maison. Fed her dinner which mummy cooked earlier and daddy packed along and she promptly napped after. Timing was good.

It was a break for us cos all the uncle and aunties (7 of them!) took turns carrying her.. hahaha. Megan is so doted on :) They all whipped out their iphone to entertain her. That's the deal maker ;)

9pm

It was a late night for Megan. Almost 10pm when we got home. But Megan was such a good gal. Slept right after her bath and milk :)

Megan's 1st Childrens' Day (she was still an infant for the last one), that's how she spent it :)

It's 8:40pm now:

And my little angel is sound asleep already :) Slept at about 8:15pm. It's funny how she is such an angel when it is just her and mummy. She sticks to the routine extremely well. Yesterday, Ah Yi came to play and Megan refused to sleep til almost 10pm! She wants to play and didn't want to stay in her cot. It was a fit of wails until we carry her out. *shake head*

Alrighty, time to log off. Plenty of cleaning up to do before Daddy comes home. Megan spilled the aromatherapy oil on to the bed in our room!!! Have to watch her VERY closely now. Just a few minutes and she can get herself into tons of mischief.. *sigh* This little girl..... makes you burst with love and frustration at the same time! Sometimes I just don't know whether to laugh or cry.. haha.

In preparation for our upcoming trip to Europe, we brought Megan for her flu jab. Our strong girl didn't so much as flinch! I distracted her with 'Talking Tom' and the jab was over before we know it. She is really strong! No tears and fever after every jab thus far! *touch wood*

But guess what brought our brave soldier to tears?


It was meant to be a treat to her after her jab.. hahaha.
We are such sadistic parents, laughing at her.. hahaha. But she hardly wails like this and don't she look awfully cute?!!! :P Megan will be very amused when she is older and reads this blog :)

Megan's 7th tooth is out!!!
and this one is from her bottom gums.
4 on top, 3 at the bottom.
No wonder she has been drooling abit recently.

Bedtime at night is back to normal :)
No more fussing and refusing to sleep.

I tweaked her naptime during the day. Earlier afternoon nap at 1-1:30am. That is after her lunch (12noon) and bath (12:45pm). By latest 1:30pm, she will be in dreamland. Yesterday she was down for 2.5hrs! Today 2 hours. Up by 3:30pm - 4pm. So by the time it's 8pm, she will be ready for bed! This is a good schedule, we shall stick to it!

At 14 months: Megan is sleeping 12-13 hours at night and a 2-3hr nap during the day. An average of 14-15 hours of sleep per day. Very good! Toddlers need sufficient sleep for brain development and growth.

Mummy bought pears and strawberries! That is on tomorrow's menu ;)

Oh did I mention Megan knows how to pray? :)

She knows how to put her hands together and interlink her fingers. What a surprise we had during dinner 2 nights ago! Megan was in her highchair between us (dining table) and Daddy said, "Come let's pray." And Megan astonished us by putting her hands together!!! Truly, Megan is a child of God :) Amen!

Way past your bedtime baby...

Yet megan is still babbling in her cot.. And to her stuff lamb! She is soooo cute! I know why she is not slping yet. Cos daddy is printing some stuff in her room and keeping her awake. Megan sticks to her routine best when it's just mummy and her. Sound aslp latest by 8:30pm! Anyhow mummy is taking a nap now. Waking up later to continue with work *sigh* Megan better be filial to mummy. See above pic: Megan can wear the beanie Rache ah yi knitted for her!

One of life's greatest joy...

...is when you come home, weary from fighting battles all day, to see your baby squeal in delight the minute she sees you.. and come running towards you as fast as her little pudgy legs could carry her :)

I just love her so much...

TODAY: My baby turns 14 months! *beams*

Megan's growing a storm. Walking and babbling all day. One thing that she is getting hard to coax.. and that's sleeping! Naptime is a complete breeze. When it's just mummy and megan at home, she can nap for 2 hours straight! When there are people around, that amount of time can go by half. Still putting Megan to nap is easy as ABC. It's bedtime at night that's becoming tedious. This naughty little gal doesn't wanna sleep! Some nights she doesn't even wanna stay in her cot. Wants me to carry her out. Playful. Tsk tsk.....

So today Megan turns 14 months. How fast... :)
Rachel Ah Yi took leave to spend the day with Megan! We all went to Vivo and had many many fun!

Decided to let her have some fun. Took off her shoes and let her go crazy.. haha. Thank goodness mumy always pack an extra set of clothes. Next time we head to Vivo, mummy is packing a towel and a swimsuit. Megan needs bikini! :P
