She has been rocking on her knees and hands and these couple of days, she gotta new stance. With a leg stretched up and bum pointing upwards. *pic up when i upload to com* I knew it is a prelude to a new skill but not sure what. So guess our surprise today.....
She is starting to sit up on her own!!!
This afternoon, Megan was with Zack in the living room while I was in the kitchen. Zack called me excitedly and i ran out.. to find Megan half sitting up!!! She used her extended leg to prop herself up! My baby is so smart!!! It's so exciting watching her development day by day.. and boy it's quite a speed!
Zack and I had decided to not get her a walker.
Walkers are in fact not advisable as it delays the baby from learning to walk. In a walker, the baby is able to 'walk' easily thus he/she will not get the opportunity to exercise her upper leg muscles which are important for learning to walk. Now i'm propping Megan on her feet.. she can bear her weight very well and can stand on her own with support. Her 2 hands will be on the sofa but at the moment, she's more interested in mouthing the edge of the sofa... hahaha!. It's a good start anyway ;)
